Taking the metro or bus to attend Emaar New Year’s Celebrations is highly recommended, preferably before 4:00 p.m, to avoid any inconvenience due to road closures in Downtown Dubai. Please off-board at the nearest station and use the shuttle buses available to reach the venue and the New Year’s Eve fireworks viewing sites. Refer to the RTA public transportation schedules from the metro stations to reach your destinations after the event

If you are driving, plan to start your trip to watch Emaar New Year’s Eve Celebrations as early as possible before road closures to avoid overcrowding. 2023 Relive the magic of Emaar’s New Year’s Eve 2023 celebration in Downtown Dubai with this video! Featuring dazzling laser, light, and firework displays, this event marked the beginning of 2023 with unforgettable grandeur and excitement.
2022 Living up to its “Eve of Wonders” theme, Burj Khalifa and the Dubai sky were illuminated with a display unlike any other, as approximately three billion people tuned in to watch the iconic event – making it one of the most-watched New Year’s Eve celebrations in the world.
2021 Emaar’s display provided a wondrous visual extravaganza of pyrotechnics choreographed to a light and laser show brought to life through Burj Khalifa’s massive LED façade, and synchronised with The Dubai Fountain.
2020 Emaar’s New Year’s Eve 2020 was held under the theme of ‘togetherness’ with the fireworks and laser show paying tribute to the doctors, nurses, and frontline heroes amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The show was also broadcast live across the World on Zoom.
2019 The stunning Emaar NYE2019 was themed on ‘time and progression’ and kicked off with an 8-minute display of visuals celebrating the heritage of the nation beamed onto the Burj Khalifa, followed by the longest Dubai Fountain show to date, accumulating with a breathtaking fireworks display.
2018 The 2018 Emaar New Year’s celebrations won two more Guinness World Records, the ‘largest LED-illuminated facade’ and the ‘tallest LED-illuminated facade’.
2017 The 2017 Emaar New Year’s Eve offered a unique take on its entertainment, choreographing a multimedia light and sound show to ring in the New Year rather than its traditional firework display. The evening also marked another Guinness World Record for ‘largest light and sound show organized on a single building’ and was live-streamed on Twitter
2016 The 2016 celebrations were marked with one of the most memorable moments: the countdown, which saw the LEDs on the world’s tallest tower turn bright white until the show began. What followed was an impressive fireworks display starting at the base of Burj Khalifa and shooting up floor by floor to finish with an explosive finale.
2015 Under the theme ‘City of the Future’, Emaar New Year’s Eve 2015 underlined Dubai’s 2020 vision while highlighting the UAE’s achievements in the year gone by. The crowning glory of Burj Khalifa’s fireworks display was a burst of multiple hues and forms, each narrating a story that resonates with Dubai residents and the global community.
2014 Ushering in 2014, the Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai fireworks show was the world’s most-watched New Year’s Eve celebration. Attended by more than 1 million visitors, the display included more than 70,000 LED panels and won the Guinness World Records title for ‘Largest LED-Illuminated Facade’ on the world’s tallest man-made structure.
2013 Emaar New Year’s Eve 2013 made a Guinness World Record for the largest ever fireworks display. The celebration included 479,651 shells and lasted for six minutes, breaking all World records within the first 60 seconds.  
2012 Burj Khalifa fireworks are set to a mesmerizing soundtrack composed by British composer and Royal Academy of the Arts Fellow, Philip Sheppard.
2011 Emaar New Year’s Eve celebrations ushered in 2011 by celebrating the ‘World’s largest fireworks’ featuring a stunning firework display centred around the Burj Khalifa with fireworks shooting out from the water and moving on to a bright green laser.
